In this lesson, we will discover the Catholic Church’s moral teachings on the marital act. We will learn about the Cardinal rule and complete vs. incomplete acts We will also give special consideration to the use of oral anal, anal, and manual stimulation, including with sex toys, and sex during special times (pregnancy, menstruation, Lent). We will review sins against marital chastity. Lastly, we will discuss some special situations: kinks, fantasies, fetishes, BDSM, etc.

JAMES WALTHER, MA, ABS
James is a professional Catholic intimacy (relationship & sex) coach and theologian. He has experience teaching in both public and Catholic schools. He holds three degrees in theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary and has done graduate studies in marriage and family therapy at Capella University. He is certified as an Apprentice in Sexology by the American Board of Sexology. His research interests include Catholic sexual ethics, the female orgasm, trauma, and the sacramentality of the minor orders. He is the translator of Yves Chiron’s Paul VI: The Divided Pope. He also serves in the Army National Guard.
