Catholic Intimacy Turns Two

Two years ago today, Megan and I went down a rabbit hole and she came up with this crazy idea. That night I bought catholicintimacy.com and we started brainstorming the business plan.

This project has been a roller coaster ride almost from the beginning. We have gone through several phases of growth and turmoil. At one point the site featured a shop for marital supplies which, combined with my articles on Catholic sexual ethics, garnered a fair bit of controversy. The radical traditionalist sites Tradition in Action, Church Militant, and others wrote hit pieces attacking both the site and us personally. One Catholic YouTuber got so much negative feedback that he took down an interview of us. Some people were even calling for us to be excommunicated. They were all happy to call us heretics and public sinners, but not able to provide refutations.

We were publicly slandered, harassed online and in person, and even stalked. There were a few months when this project caused us a lot of misery. Ironically, the U.S. Army helped to put an end to all that by giving me orders for several months of training in the summer of 2023. So, we closed down the shop.

Why would we put up with all that?

Because it’s working. We set out to support catholic couples, to foster virtuous marital romance and love. We are doing just that. We have positively impacted hundreds, if not thousands of couples through our many resources. So despite the Tradition in Action article and some no-name YouTuber’s video about us closing down, we are going strong and growing!

So here’s to another year in the books and another blessed year to come. Please pray for us. Know that we pray for all of you and have a Traditional Latin Mass offered for all of our clients every month.
